What Miley Cyrus Wrote in Her Letter to Hannah Montana

Hannah Montana premiered on the Disney Channel on March 24, 2006, meaning that yesterday was the 15th anniversary of the character who launched Miley Cyrus into global stardom.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer, who was aged 13 to 18 when the show ran, celebrated by sending flowers to people associated with the show and penning a letter to the character.
Among those who have shared pictures of their bouquets on social media were Emily Osment, who played Miley's best friend Lilly, her mother and father Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, as well as guest star Corbin Bleu.
Cyrus also sent flowers to the band Migos, who released the X-rated song "Hannah Montana" in 2013. Cyrus wrote, "I love your song about me! Keep rockin! Love Hannah Montana."
The centerpiece of Cyrus' celebrations, however, was a letter to the character she played for nearly six years.
In it, she thanked her family for supporting her throughout the making of the show, acknowledging her grandmother who ran her fan club and her grandfather who did not live to see the show premiere.
She also discussed growing up on the set of the show, which she calls "my home" and referenced an identity crisis caused by playing the fictional pop star, something she has discussed previously.
She wrote: "Although you are considered to be an 'alter ego' in reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glove than I did in my bare hands.

Miley Cyrus' letter to Hannah Montana in full
Hi Hannah,
It's been a while. 15 years to be exact. Since the first time I slid those blonde bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity. Then slipped into a puke pink terry cloth robe with a bedazzled HM over the heart. I didn't know then...that is where you would live forever. Not just in mine but millions of people around the world. Although you are considered to be an "alter ego" in reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glove than I did in my bare hands.
We had an equal exchange in which you provided a superlative amount of fame in return for the anonymity I could gift to you. But, ALOT has changed since then. You were like a rocket that flew me to the moon + never brought me back down. I couldn't have imagined when taping myself singing "I Love Rock N Roll" against a white wall in my mums friends kitchen in Nashville, TN the name typed in marquee style letter on the front of a first draft script would make my wildest dreams a reality.
You + I have been through it all together my friend. We've shared many firsts. Alot of lasts. Ups. Downs. Tears + laughs. I lost my pappy my dads father while on set filming an early episode of Season 1. He wanted to hold on long enough to catch the premier on March 24th. He passed February 28th. He did get to see the commercial that ran during High School Musical which he claimed was one of the proudest moments in his lifetime + he was abadass democratic state legislature. My heart was broken but fulfilled to know I could carry his name beside my dads through every credit.
I experienced falling in love for the first time in those years. Embarrassingly started my period in a pair of white capris of course on the day a "cute guy" was cast + asked to have lunch with me. Instead I spent it in the bathroom with my mom sobbing + scrambling to find a pair of fresh denim. I gained so many friends over the 6 years spent onset. Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso + Jason Earles became my family. I was seeing them more than my own.
Well, besider my dad who I drove to work with everyday until my mom let me buy a Prius. Which then I was only 15 with a permit so my co-pilot was my grandmother "mommie" who ran my fan club MileyWorld out of the dressing room kitchenI shared with my dad until our last day in 2011. One I will never forget.

It was bittersweet to know I would be leaving you a HUGE piece of me behind in Stage 9. Which is where I say I grew up when asked. It was my home. The finale episode was appropriately titled "Whenever I Go" after a final song by the teen pop sensation herself. YOU. Me? Hannah Montana. The first verse sings "Everything is about to change. A chapter ending but the stories only just begun. A page is turning for everyone." And closes on a soaring chorus belting "We might be apart but I hope you always know youll be with me wherever I go."
Hannah, I hope you hear me + believe those words are true. You have all my love + upmost gratitude. Breathing life into you for those 6 years was an honor. I am indebted not only to you Hannah but to any + everyone who believed in me from the beginning. You all have my loyalty + deepest appreciation until the end. With all sincerity I say THANK YOU! To Disneys entire team, all fellow cast members, special guests, crew, agents + managers, ESPECIALLY my mommy who took me to every lesson + audition even when it required leaving town or making a cross country move which my siblings so selflessly underwent. Not a day goes by I forget where I came from. A building in Burbank, California with a room full of people with the power to fulfill my destiny. And that they did. They gave me you. The greatest gift a girl could ask for. I love you Hannah Montana.
Forever,

Dear @HannahMontana, I still love you 15 years later. #HMForever pic.twitter.com/TBqZd5aOKh

Miley.

IND vs ENG 2nd ODI: Lean patch in T20Is never impacted confidence, says KL Rahul

India's KL Rahul on Thursday said that lean patch of form in the five-match T20I series against England never impacted his confidence. Rahul managed to accumulate just 15 runs in four matches before being dropped from the fifth and final T20I in Ahmedabad.

However, Rahul returned to the Team India playing XI in the first ODI and roared back to form with an unbeaten 62 to power India to a mammoth score of 317 in 50 overs.

"I was confident, for a player to come this far, it's only self-belief that gets him this far. I have always been confident about who I am as a player and who I am as a person. It was never an issue of confidence and self-belief. Like I said, sometimes it's sport, you try everything that is possible and which is in your control, still, it does not go your way. You accept it and try to learn from the mistakes you have done. I was always confident, I knew in the nets and the practice sessions, I was batting well.

"If there was a real issue with my batting, then I probably would have been a little under-confident, scoring runs is important and it is everything for a player but for me, I also look at myself at training. If I am preparing well and I am hitting the ball well, my mind is in the right place. Most of the things were going well, just the number chart was not going my way, which is disappointing. When I open the batting, the team looks upto the openers to give them a solid start and score runs, but it never impacted my confidence," said KL Rahul during a virtual press conference on Thursday.

But what did Rahul do differently in the first ODI as compared to the T20I series? The swashbuckling right-handed batsman said that he didn't dwell into his thoughts much to avoid overthinking while adding that playing at a high level, every player goes through such a phase.

“Everybody goes through this; I did not do anything different. I was not too stressed, as a player, you are disappointed. Sitting on the bench for a while, I did not play for 3-3.5 months so I was really excited about playing the white-ball series. Every player in the team wants to do well, sometimes it does not happen, you have to accept it.

"I asked myself if I prepared well, and when I thought about it, I did everything right, after that, if I did not score runs, then it's fine, I accept that. Having said that, it does not mean that you do not feel disappointed. When you are playing at this level, you always want to perform, but you need to accept that it is not always going to go your way. When things were going right, I did not question my process so I did not want to sit back and overthink after four-five bad performances, I was doing most things right which was in my control," Rahul explained.

Answering whether it's easier to start afresh in a new series, Rahul replied: "Like I said, the ODI format, playing at number five, I could take a little more time than I did maybe in T20s. Having spent a little time in the middle, having played a couple of good shots, the footwork got better. When I walked in, Shikhar was batting well. I knew when Krunal walked in, I realised we had to stitch a partnership together, when you stop thinking about your own personal game and when there is responsibility in front of you, you start thinking clearer, having spent 20-25 balls in the middle, I started to feel more confident."

India and England will lock horns for the second ODI in Pune on March 26. The Men in Blue lead the series 1-0.

Pimco did not participate in Adani Ports’ $500 million bond sale in January because of its links to a controversial coal project in Australia

Pacific Investment Management Co., which is seeking to decarbonize its investment portfolio, has stopped participating in the bond offerings of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. because of its links to a controversial coal project Australia, according to a person familiar.

Pimco, which is owned by Germany’s Allianz SE, did not participate in Adani Ports’ $500 million bond sale in January, the person said, while its existing holdings in Adani Ports would be allowed to run to maturity. A spokesperson for Allianz declined to comment.

Adani Ports shares jumped 5.2% in Mumbai on Monday.

Adani’s Australian mining unit -- last year re-branded as Bravus Mining & Resources -- has drawn fierce opposition from environmental groups over the 10-million-tons-per-annum Carmichael thermal coal project. The company’s plans to transport the coal to the Abbot Point export terminal -- which is controlled by the broader Adani Group -- via a new 200 kilometer (124 mile) rail link is set to open up a region of previously untouched bushland to mining.

Adani Ports was unaware of Pimco’s position on participation in its bond offerings, a spokesman for the group said by email. The company was “committed to strengthening its ESG performance across its operational ecosystem," he added.

Allianz belongs to a group of insurers and pension funds that have pledged to run carbon-neutral investment portfolios by 2050 as part of the so-called Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance. In January, the group said it may cut investments in the stocks and bonds of companies that weren’t making sufficient progress toward that goal.

Deutsche Bank AG also withdrew from Adani Ports’ recent bond offer due to environmental concerns, the Economic Times newspaper reported in January, citing people familiar with the matter. Adani Ports said the issuance drew strong participation from institutional investors across Asia, EMEA and the U.S., achieving an over-subscription ratio of 4.2 times.

Adani is self financing Carmichael after local banks refused to back it, while a number of companies, including Greyhound Australia and engineering consultant Aurecon, have ruled out doing contract work for the project, which has become a lightning rod for climate protesters in Australia amid a broader backlash against the most polluting fossil fuel.

Adani Ports shares jumped 5.2% in Mumbai on Monday.

National Film Awards: History

National Film Awards were first awarded in 1954. The Government of India wished to honour the excellence in Indian Cinema on a national scale. It was in 1973 when the Directorate of Film Festivals started administering the ceremony along with other major events in the country.

The National Film Awards are presented and categorised in three sections- Feature Films, Non-Feature Films and Best Writing on Cinema. The jury is appointed by the Directorate of Film Festivals in India without any influence from the Government too on awards.

Also a list of rules is presented yearly in a document of regulations which is called the National Film Award Regulations.

The awards aim at encouraging the making of films of aesthetic and technical excellence. The films are also encouraged to have a social relevance, that may aid in the understanding and appreciation of cultures of different regions of the country in cinematic form. The films made in the country must abide by the unity and integrity of the nation.

Shaheed Diwas 2021: Martyrs' Day date, wishes, messages, WhatsApp and Facebook status, quotes; why it is celebrated in india

Shaheed Diwas or Martyrs' Day 2021: Date, mesaages, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp status, quotes, celebration; remember the contributions of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru in India's battle for independence

Shaheed Diwas 2021: Martyrs' Day date, wishes, messages, WhatsApp and Facebook status, quotes; why it is celebrated in india

Shaheed Diwas, also called Martyrs' Day, is celebrated in India on March 23 every year. On this day, Indians pay tributes to the people who had lost their lives in the struggle for India's independence. Every year, various leaders organise events to remember slain freedom fighters. They express their gratitude for the fallen.

Why Shaheed Diwas is celebrated

On Shaheed Diwas, Indians in particular pay tribute to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru. These freedom fighters had lost their lives on March 23 in 1931 during the struggle for India's independence. They were hanged for assassinating British officer John Saunders in 1928.

Why is Shaheed Diwas important

Singh, Thapar and Rajguru were very young when they gave ultimate sacrifice for the nation. Their story continues to inspire the youth today.

This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic it is unlikely that the Shaheed Diwas celebration would be in full swing. Here are Shaheed Diwas wishes, messages, WhatsApp and Facebook status and quotes which you can share and pay tribute to the fallen freedom fighters.

Shaheed Diwas 2021 Wishes and Messages

  • The martyr sacrifices themselves entirely in vain. Or rather not in vain; for they make the selfish more selfish, the lazy more lazy, the narrow narrower.
  • A martyr can never cooperate with death, go to death in a way that they're not trying to escape.
  • The martyr cannot be dishonoured. Every lash inflicted is a tongue of fame; every prison a more illustrious abode.
  • Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna Ab Hamare Dil Me Hai, Dekhna Hai Zor Kitna Baazu-E-Kaatil Me Hai!
  • Jashan Ajaadi Ka Mubarak Ho Desh Waalo Ko, Fande Se Mahobbaat Thi Hum Watan Ke Matwaalo

Shaheed Diwas 2021 WhatsApp and Facebook Status

  • The presence of the nation stands on the foundation that has been laid on the lives of the freedom fighters. These martyrs sacrificed their lives to ensure that the future generation gets the freedom from chains of slavery.
  • They may torture my body, break my bones, even kill me. Then they will have my dead body, but not my obedience.
  • Hans Hans Ke Chade Sooli Par; Jo Marne Se the Na Kabhi Dare; Unhi Shaheedon Kee Chitaon Par Lagte Hain Har Baras Mele; Jo Jung-E-Azadi Mein Sabse Aage Hokar Hain Ladein!
  • Martyrdom is a price one pays to ensure freedom for coming generations. Salute to all martyrs who ensured our freedom by sacrificing their lives.
  • The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the nation.

Shaheed Diwas 2021 Quotes

  • "The people who have really made history are the martyrs"
  • "Oh, Lord! Grant me a hundred births in India. But grant me this, too, that each time I may give up my life in the service of the Motherland"
  • "The people who have really made history are the martyrs"
  • Mit Gaye Jo Khushi Se Watan Ke Naam Par; Aao Sachhe Dil Se Unhein Hum Yaad Karein; De Gaye Jo Humein Khuli Hawa Azadi Kee; Aao Aise Shaheedon Ko Sar Jhuka Kar Parnaam Karein!
